Leading regional estate agent Aston Mead has sold the company to national lettings and estate agency group Leaders, but has retained its key Land Department, which will now operate under the name Aston Mead Land & Planning.

The seven Aston Mead branches in Chertsey, Epsom, Sunningdale, Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge and Woking will be transferring to Leaders, along with all members of staff. Meanwhile, a team of four specialists headed by brothers Adam and Charles Hesse will focus on a land, planning and new homes development business.

Aston Mead Director Adam Hesse said: “Aston Mead has been handling land sales and acquisitions for the past ten years or so. In that time, we’ve become one of the leading brokers of land in the Home Counties. We traded strongly throughout the downturn, and still retain a bulging pipeline of deals and a growing list of satisfied clients. Now, as Aston Mead Land & Planning, and with over 100 years of property experience between us, we intend to continue and grow the business still further.”

The team’s main expertise has been identifying sites with development potential – especially those comprising multiple properties or back gardens. These deals are often complex and involve delicate negotiations with both the local planning authority, as well as the respective landowners involved.

Adam added: “We can offer a range of services from acting on behalf of retained developer clients, looking for sites with potential, or piecing together land assemblies. We can also act as a broker when someone is looking to sell land with or without planning permission and wants to ensure they maximise the price with minimal involvement on their part.

“Plus we offer a bespoke service, whereby we confirm whether your land has development potential, organise architects and then facilitate the planning application, following which we will then market the site on your behalf - selling to the highest bidder of course!”

If you would like to discuss buying or selling land please call Adam or Charles Hesse at Aston Mead Land & Planning on 01932 950500. Alternatively contact adam@astonmead.land or charles@astonmead.land.
